Opening the Way in Prayer

Our Regional Director for Central America writes: “For the glory of God, I share with you what God allowed during the training of 22 pastors in Phase E (New Testament Survey) in Coatepeque, on the Mexican border. The border with Mexico has become more dangerous every day due to drug trafficking, violence, death, and prostitution. Pastors in this region face spiritual oppression and challenges daily. But thank God that during these days of training, the pastors were strengthened, focused, and challenged by the Holy Spirit to continue working for the Kingdom of God and planting churches. For the glory of God, 26 new churches were planted.”

Praise God with us for being able to complete Phase B training (Pastoring a Church of the Harvesters Bible School curriculum) amidst some conflict that broke out in the town where the training was taking place. We thank God for His protection and provision and that all attendees were able to return home safely after the training sessions. Pray with us that God through His Holy Spirit will continue to strengthen and encourage our student pastors to keep on with their studies, discipling people and planting many churches.

We are tremendously grateful for the recent Disciple Makers Course conducted in Parow, Cape Town. The Lord blessed this gathering in powerful ways:

Transformed Lives: We received encouraging feedback about a young person who testified that the course helped him discover his place and ministry calling. He is now on fire with passion to make disciples and live out the Great Commission.

Strengthened Leadership: The pastor of the local congregation shared how the course strengthened their vision and brought greater alignment for their upcoming church planting initiatives in their area. This testimony speaks to God’s heart for multiplication and expansion of His kingdom.

Praise God us for His faithfulness in using this ministry to equip and empower His people for disciple-making.

Join us in prayer for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit in all of Harvesters’ communities worldwide and also in your own community.

Earlier this month Harvesters was able to continue training an established group of student pastors in Phase D (Old Testament Survey) of the Harvesters Bible School curriculum. A new group was also initiated and, God willing, will start with their Bible School journey soon. Please pray for each person involved in both these church planting movements and that the areas will soon be saturated with the Good News.

Harvesters Licensed Trainers travelled to KwaZulu-Natal in the first half of May to train two different groups of student pastors in Phase F (Introduction to Systematic Theology) of the Harvesters Bible School. This is the final required phase of the curriculum before they graduate. Praise God with us for these student pastors who stayed with their studies faithfully over the past years and pray with us that each of their ministries will bear much fruit. Thank God also for the Licensed Trainers’ perseverance and please pray for them and their families too.

Praise God with us for opening the way to initiate yet another new church planting movement recently. Please do pray for these new leaders, that they will really understand the urgency to plant churches! Please also pray for another group in a different area who completed the Harvesters Bible School Phase D (Old Testament Survey) training – pray for them for perseverance on their church planting journey.

Praise God with us for two Kick Off sessions that was held from 30 April through 7 May and for the new Hub leaders that signed up for the task of planting churches and discipling the flock. Pray for them!

This past week we were able to finish a Kick-off (initiating a new church planting movement) in Russia and by God’s grace it went very well. We had 54 pastors and leaders together. Many of the pastors shared that the training ignited such a fire in them, almost a jealousy for God’s kingdom to advance! They have such big vision now and strategy for church planting! We thank the Lord for what He is doing! Thank you so very much to everyone who are praying for us.
