Opening the Way in Prayer

A heat wave during February ruined many crops in Southern Zambia, Zimbabwe and northern parts of South Africa. Although the stems are green there are limited cobs on the plants. Now is the time that rivers should be flowing, but they are empty. People should be eating to gain weight for the winter months. Many people are not reaping from their harvest as they should have. Without intervention, hunger will strike these parts with a vengeance in 2-3 months from now. Lord we pray that you will feed our people.

Please pray for our leaders who will be training around 200 pastors in Managua, Nicaragua this week. Pray for safe travels, all logistics and for the vision to be well received.

We are grateful for the opportunity to visit and train leaders – some from remote areas – of Southeast Asia for the next few weeks. Please pray for travel mercy for our trainers as well as the attendees. Pray for them for courage, strength and provision to be able to spread the Good News in their areas of work. May many come to know Christ as their Saviour.

Praise God with us for more opportunities to present the Harvesters Disciple Makers course at several churches across South Africa for the next few weekends. Pray that the Holy Spirit will ignite, encourage and strengthen these congregations to go and make disciples in their areas.

Please pray for our Licensed Trainer travelling through Zambia to lead training in Livingstone, Monze and Lusaka. Pray for prepared hearts and the entire journey will be blessed.

Please pray for our team travelling to encourage existing church leaders in Lesotho. Pray also for God ordained appointments to share the Harvesters vision in order to expand the work in this area.

God is on the move. Many wonderful opportunities opened up for Harvesters to present and train various groups in this vast area. Please pray for all the trainers and facilitators across Eurasia to be encouraged and strengthened and pray also for those that He has called to attend these sessions, for protection, boldness and provision to fulfil their ordained role in expanding His Kingdom.

Praise God with us for the opportunity earlier this month to present Harvesters to a group of 30 pastors from 5 different areas in the Kingdom of Eswatini. Pray that God will continue to open the way in this area.

During October and November various training sessions that envolved several hundred leaders took place in the Ivory Coast. It was a challenging time with many delays and obstacles to overcome, but God remains faithful. One team trained and encouraged leaders in Bondoukou, Bouna, Tanda, Agnibilekrou, Abengourou and finally in Azito (where 70 Hub Leaders graduated after completing the final Phase F training of Harvesters Bible School curriculum). During the same time, another team trained leaders in Cemose, Abobo, Daloa, Bouake and Yamassoukro.

We praise the Lord for all the people reached in this country and pray for guidance for the journey ahead with these willing servants of God.

We praise the Lord for the opportunity to enter this country and to help to build His Kingdom. The recent envisioning in Dakar yielded a positive response. We pray that God will prepare the ground for when we return. There is a great need for the true Gospel in this country.
